Supply Chain Manager

Deadline: 22-12-2014

We are looking for an outstanding Supply Chain Manager with the ability to lead an expanding repair and maintenance business on to new levels of logistic, materials and subcontractor performance.

City Response Limited is a vibrant business that carries out the repair, maintenance and improvement of social housing. We are encountering unprecedented levels of growth, and have plans to double both the current turnover of £31m and the number of homes that are worked on over the coming few years. This will be done by expanding the areas of operation throughout England for The Guinness Partnership.

 We want this senior role, with line management responsibility, to deliver: 

  • Improved supply chain efficiency
  • Enhanced service delivery
  • Reduced risk to the business
  • Transparent and robust controls 

Essential Skills:

  • Significant and demonstrable supply chain experience of logistics,  materials and sub-contractors, along with experience of successful supply chain delivery in a similar role
  • Experience of negotiating and managing Group framework agreements with suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors
  • Proven experience of delivering significant cost savings through vendor negotiations
  • Experience of working within and across a business – strong matrix-working and excellent stakeholder management skills are key
  • Possess strong project procurement skills
  • Strong IT Skills including MS Office software
