Multi-Skilled Joiner/Team Leader

Permanent, full time

We currently have a vacancy for a Team Leader to work primarily within the Coventry and Redditch areas, delivering Responsive and Void Repairs. The role will initially include the need to carry out multi-skilled tasks alongside the team leadership role.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the teams approach to customer service standards, delivery of Responsive and Void Repairs in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and in liaison with key stakeholders as required.
  • Deliver high standard of work relevant to both specific employed trade and other building trades within domestic and commercial premises, including external surroundings.
  • Provide customers with prompt, professional and accurate information delivered in a timely, consistent and efficient manner. Conduct outbound calls regarding service request progress.
  • Ensure that data and information is updated into the appropriate systems, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Be proactive in terms of decision making, working on own initiative throughout project with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver multi-trade operations in full to a high standard within domestic and commercial premises.
  • Achieve agreed personal, team and corporate objectives including providing support for fellow team members and other colleagues – taking ownership for own performance and development.
  • To lead, motivate and develop the team of various trades and ensure high productivity and standard of work. The need to stay away from home as and when the programmes dictate is essential to the continued programme delivery.
  • To carry out surveys, health and safety inspections and post inspections of work to a high standard.

 Essential:

  • Proven experience of delivering high quality services in a customer focused environment. 
  • Certificated qualifications in main employed trade
  • Defined multi-trade skills and experience outside of main building trade.
  • Knowledge of using scheduling systems in order to plan operatives’ diaries
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise quickly
  • Driver’s licence

 Desirable:

  • Experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating teams.
  • Sound knowledge of building construction, repairs and health and safety.
  • Experience of working with databases.
  • Experience of working in tenanted properties.
